California High Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA).  Comments on the HSRA Alternatives Analysis (AA) released on April 8, 2010 are due & are still being accepted by CHSRA.  View the AA here. Please read the AA report carefully; if you have comments, try to submit them at your earliest convenience. AA comments can be sent to the HSRA via one of the following methods:

High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA).  Friday July 30 - HSRA Executive/Administrative Committee Meeting; 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.  380 West Portal Avenue, Suite F (Conference Room), San Francisco.  Staff will present for the Committee to consider and approve funding applications for FY 2010 High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail (HSIPR) Program. The Committee will be exercising the authority delegated to it by the board at the board’s July 8, 2010 meeting.  Open to the public.

San Mateo.  Saturday, July 31 - Community Workshop No. 5; 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.  Martin Luther King Community Center, 725 Monte Diablo Avenue, San Mateo. An opportunity for residents, property owners and business representatives, who have been unable to attend the week night workshops, to become more informed about HSR.  This workshop will be an “open house” style meeting.  Residents new to the High Speed Rail planning process can learn the latest news and voice their thoughts on High Speed Rail. It will be, in essence, a recap of past weekday workshops.  Workshop details in English, Spanish and Chinese can be found at: www.cityofsanmateo.org/highspeedrail.  Childcare is available. High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA).  Thursday August 5, HSRA Monthly Meeting; 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Milton Marks Conference Center, 455 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Bob Doty will present the Supplemental Alternatives Analysis Report - San Francisco to San Jose.  Staff will describe and make recommendations on the alignment, station, and maintenance facility alternatives in the San Francisco to San Jose section, and the Board will have an opportunity to provide direction on the alternatives to carry forward for further study.  Please click for the complete meeting  Agenda .  Open to the public.

Joint Powers Board (JPB).  Thursday August 5, JPB Monthly Meeting; 10:00 a.m. SamTrans Administrative Offices, Edward J. Bacciocco Auditorium - 2nd floor, 1250 San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos.

The Peninsula Corridor JPB consists of representatives from San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. The Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the SamTrans Offices. Schedule, agendas and minutes are here.  Open to the public.

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and California High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) are co-sponsoring a statewide HSR TOD summit.   Open to the public.
